From Shetland Food and Drink: Congratulations to the organisers of Shetland Wool Week - what a fantastic event!
It was great to be at the Makers' Market and talk to visitors from all over the world. Visitors from Iceland and Norway seemed particularly taken with Thule Ventus - Shetland Salt Fish - reminded them of the fish they used to have at home. So many packets of Salt Cod are currently on their way north!
Everyone was taken with the artistry of Mirrie Dancers Chocolatier, who did a roaring trade in Fair Isle chocolate, and the V Bird sold out of some of their vegan dips and spreads, having many repeat visitors from the Taste of Shetland Festival. And Skibhoul oatcakes were flying off the shelves and into people's suitcases to take home. What a great event.
